Realizing Young People’s Dreams
It is so exciting to see the children's sermon time on Sunday morning! When parents and kids gather at the front of the Sanctuary, it looks like the United Nations at play. Our ministry with young people will grow and be strengthened for the families who are currently part of the Broadway community – and for new families who want to raise their children in a diverse faith community that enriches the lives of all people.
The Miracle on 29th Street has already allowed us to hire a new Children and Youth Pastor to build on what’s working at Broadway, giving our young people the chance to share their gifts – for example, as they have led us in international mission over the last few years. This position will also develop new and creative opportunities for young people to engage in the life of our church, coordinate volunteer skill-development for children and youth programs, and promote activities that connect all the people of Broadway with our youngest members.
