2nd Floor, Library:
The coffee house will be open from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. Come in and grab a cup of coffee before heading to Sunday School or the 9:37 Experience or sit and browse the books and magazines in the library. Regular, decaf, and flavored coffee will be available, as well as tea. Pastries and sweets will also be offered. Free will offering for all drinks and food.
New Opportunities
New Youth Group: High School students interested in drama, contemporary dance and the performing arts will be meeting every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in the Activities Area. Duane Carlise, Children and Youth Pastor, is looking for adults who have talents in these areas to help with mentoring and ideas.

The Language of Music: Chris Schroeder, Church Organist, will offer a class on reading music every Thursday, starting Sept. 6th from 7:15-7:30 p.m. in the choir loft in the Sanctuary. The class will focus on the fundamentals of music reading and will offer instruction and class exercises in sight singing that will improve your ability to sing new music and will improve you hymn singing.
Weekly/Monthly Small Groups for Youth & Adults
12 Step Recovery Workshop:
A Bible Study/12 Step Workshop will be offered every Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. in the Library. This workshop is for anybody dealing with addictions of any sort (whether that is you or a loved one). Each session, we will read one of the 12 Steps, a section from the gospel of Matthew, and a section from the Big Book. There will be time for each person to share from their own experience (if they choose to share) with no cross talking. We will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and end promptly at 8:00 p.m. For more information, see Joe McIntosh or Rev. Rachel.
Spiritual Studies Group:This group seeks spiritual growth through reading a variety of books and through discussion on the books. The members build personal faith based on their own experiences and the insights from others. They love each other, pray for each other and encourage each other in joyous living. The group meets in the Conference Room each Friday, 11 to noon (except the first Friday of the month when they meet at 10:00 a.m.). All are invited!
United Methodist Women:The UMW are a community of women whose purpose is to know God, to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. There are circles that meet at various times of the year. These circles explore study books, studies of missions, donate monies to global and local missions, and participate in hands-on missions of the church. They also sponsor a retreat and fellowship meals during the year.
Day Camp: For children Kindergarten thru sixth grade—meets one week in June from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Marott Park. This year the Camp will be held June 12-June 16. Registration forms are available in the church office. Transportation from the church is available. Nature, Bible lessons, crafts.
