Children/Youth Sunday School 9:30-10:30 Sunday Mornings

Nursery:
Nursery service is provided on Sundays. The nursery is in room 203 in the education wing. Nursery attendants are available from 9:30 to 10:30 and from 10:45 to 12:00. The nursery is available for infants, toddlers and preschool age children. Parents are also welcome to have their children remain with them in the sanctuary worship service if they prefer.

Rock the Boat Sunday School:
Rock the Boat is a children’s worship experience that takes place during the 10:45 worship service. It is geared to meet the needs of children who are pre-K to 4th grade. Children begin the 10:45 worship service in the Sanctuary with their families and exit the main worship service with children’s leader after the children’s moment.

One of the main goals of this childrens worship time is to prepare our children for particpation in the life of the church as they get older. Elements of the adult worship are incorporated into this time in kid-friendly ways. These include singing, sharing of concerns, group prayer and a message that is connected to the liturgical season. Often a craft or activity will be used to develop a biblical principal and help show the relevance daily living. The worship time is led each Sunday by a rotating group of education team members. If you have interest in volunteering to teach or assist during this time, please contact Duane Carlisle through the Church Office during the week or speak to him on a Sunday.

Exploring Faith:
Exploring Faith is taught during the education hour by Phyllis Newton and assisted by Todd Pickard. It is offered on Sunday Mornings in Room 202 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM

Exploring Faith® is a four-year Bible study for Sunday school that enables children to experience God through Jesus Christ. Children and the adults who live and work with them will experience together, in Christian community, the stories and messages of the Bible appropriate to the children’s increasing maturity through lessons that provide opportunities for discussion and ideas for activities.

Exploring Faith will help children and the adults who work with them:

Youth Group:
A new group of youth has come together as a result of participating in confirmation. On February 3rd, 2008 we welcomed into membership a new confirmation class. Congratulations to confirmands Keegan, Mikayla, Loren, Cameron, Madison, Jordan, Andrew, and McKeith!

The confirmation class met from October thru February during the 9:30 hour and spent time doing youth activities, getting to know each other better and talking with Reverend Rachel and their adult mentors about spiritual formation and how it applied to their lives.

This group is continuing to meet during the 9:30 hour on Sundays. They enjoy some fun activities, plane service projects, and just hang out enjoying each others company. All youth are welcome to join in the activities.

Adult Sunday School 9:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday Mornings

"New Connections" = Friendship and Thought:
Room 103
There's an adult Sunday morning class at Broadway which offers a chance to be part of a caring group where getting to know one another is important. This group also has lively, informed discussions on our faith and life. The group is called "New Connections" and meets Sundays mornings at 9:35 in Room 103.

New Broadway Workers:
Main floor, Room 101
This class follows the International Lesson Series (Bible Lessons). They are 50 years and up in age and are a combination of three Sunday School classes: Aldersgate, Epworth, and Broadway Workers. They start with a short devotion, sing two hymns and conclude with a lesson.

Searchers:
Main floor, Room 104
The Searchers Class was organized by Rev. John Willson during the bicentennial (1976). Fifteen people gathered in the parlor to study the Founding Fathers and their religious beliefs. They watched a film and then had discussion. Twenty-five years later, they are still studying and discussing current issues. To fund their mission interests, they hold a Pancake Breakfast in March. They also have a Progressive Dinner at Christmas and one annual out-of-town event.
