The confirmation class met from October thru February during the 9:30 hour and spent time doing youth activities, getting to know each other better and talking with Reverend Rachel and their adult mentors about spiritual formation and how it applied to their lives.
This group is continuing to meet during the 9:30 hour on Sundays. They enjoy some fun activities, plane service projects, and just hang out enjoying each others company. All youth are welcome to join in the activities.
Families and Friends:
Pitch in Meal and play date. 2nd Saturday of every month. 4:00 to 6:00 pm
A time for families to get together to let children play and just be themselves. Often in the Dome Room on the third floor of the Church in the colder months or at homes or public parks in the warmer times. Sometimes other special events are planned for a group activity. Check the “What’s Happening” page for the location and plan for the next event.
This is the place to share upcoming events and plans that might interest you and your families. I will periodically edit this page to keep the events updated. Feel free to make comments here. However, as I edit out the passed events, I will also edit comments related to those events so the page will remain up to date. Also, please let me know about events that need to be shared so I can post them here.
March 8 - Families and Friends - Bowling! location and time TBA! (Thanks for the idea Chris!)
March 20 - Excerpts from Thornton Wilder’s Our Town. 6:00 pm at Shortridge Middle School. Broadway Youth, Jordan Mather-Licht and McKeith Pearson are part of the drama cast that will perform sections of this classic play.
March 22 - Indianapolis Naptown Roller Girls at the State fairgrounds. Loud, Noisy, High-Energy (and a tad counter-culture!) Meet up with folks from the choir and New Connections Sunday School Group. A fun event for Older Youth.
