Yusef:

Yusef was at a work site when we met with him. He owns his own business doing construction. Yusef grew up around Indianapolis and he remembers there being a bunch of fruit trees, but they are all gone now. Yusef has a lot of knowledge on what would grow in this area and he gardens himself. Yusef gardens in two areas by his home. He discussed with us that he gardens, because of the healthy foods that are produced and the lifestyle. Yusef would be interested in taking care of fruit trees and he said that he could probably take care of about 6. Yusef told us that fruit trees are slow at the beginning but when they yield and produce it is quite prolific. The trees that he would like to take care of are peach, apple, cherry trees, and grape arbor. Yusef has gardened sweet potatoes and Irish potatoes, which he said involve little care with an abundant yield. Yusef dedicates one lawn to greens for extra income, and he spoke about green tomatoes being big on the market.
